Les lacs proches de Thollon
Lake Léman, sometimes called Lake Geneva, is central Europe’s largest lake and formed from a glacier. It has a surface area of 583km2 and is 309m at its deepest point.
Its maximum width is a little over 13km and it is croissant shaped. The North shore and the 2 extremities are Swiss, the South shore is French. The border cuts across the middle of the lake.
Lake Beunaz, and its facilities, is near Thollon (between Saint-Paula and Bernex). It has several recreational areas with facilities around a lake.
For full safety the bathing area is supervised by lifguards. Enjoy the many activities available onsite: pedalos, canoes, a swimming pool, diving board, zip-wire, trampoline, pétanque, table tennis, beach-volleyball, and lots more!
Open daily from 10 am-7 pm in July and August.
Beaches Near Thollon
Many towns are near the lake in Chablais. You can easily find a beach to make the most of your summer.
Tourronde, Vindry and Chauffours beaches are all unsupervised beaches near Lugrin. Beautiful grassy areas and open spaces await you!
In Neuvecelle the municipality has refurbished the lakeside installing facilities so you can laze about in the sun on the pebbles or grass, swim in Lake Léman, or take a stroll along a walkway next to the lake. Swimming is unsupervised on this beach.
There is a beach and the Grande-Rive promenade.
You can walk along the lakeside and there are several pebbly beaches that have facilities. Swimming is unsupervised.
The Amphion-Publier Municipal beach is in the centre of a park and has a mixture of grass and pebbles. The beach has a variety of activities and attractions in the summer months.
There’s a playground for children, beach-volleyball pitch and a pétanque (boules) area, as well as a snack bar. You can also rent pedalos or SUPs.
Swimming is supervised in July and August.
